Arat Kilo Child Care & Community Development
Arat Kilo Child Care & Community Development (AKCCCD) is one of the longest established, Ethiopian non-governmental organisation (NGO) working in several communities within Addis Ababa and in the Oromiya region.
Founded in 1978, AKCCCD has been continually assisting impoverished children and mothers in the Arat Kilo and Chancho areas by providing them with basic needs and access to economic and educational opportunities for a better life. Our Objectives and our Activities outline what we are doing.
Arat Kilo Child Care & Community Development (AKCCCD) is an indigenous, non-governmental organization, registered with the Government of Ethiopia.
AKCCCD listens to and works with all sections of the community: with community leaders, men, women and children, being careful to include the most marginalized.
Vision
The Vision of AKCCCD is to create strong, healthy and sustainable communities where the care and protection of impoverished women and children are ensured.
Mission
Our Mission is to promote, care and protect and protect impoverished women and children. Improve their living standards by providing them with access to health, education and business skills, and increase the participation of HIV + women in economic activities, minimizing stigma and discrimination.
