Activities: Health & Nutrition
This is an ideal intervention area as most community members, especially women and girls, are living in a high risk environment dependent on the sex trade to support themselves and their families. Exposure to HIV/AIDS, STIs and early childbirth greatly affect the ability of many community members to play an active role in their personal development.
AKCCCD is committed to supporting government initiatives in the provision of primary health facilities to promote universal access to pre and post natal services, immunization, child welfare clinics and treatment of diseases.
AKCCCD has made a concerted effort, working with the community, to address some of the issues in this area.
